This update supports the new ICD10 codes.  For dates of service on or after October 1, 2015, most carriers will require the new ICD10 version of diagnoses codes.  That doesn’t mean that you should wait until October 1 to install this upgrade since you will still be able to use ICD9 codes with the new version of the software.   In fact, the sooner you install it, the sooner you will be able to establish a crosswalk between the different generations of diagnosis codes.

Getting this update by WEB RELEASE gives you faster access to the update and means that you don’t need to rely on something arriving in the mail and then carrying it from computer-to-computer-to-computer in your office.  Instead, you simply download the update to your computer and then run it “across the network” to update all workstations.

Here are the steps you should follow to get this upgrade installed:

1. Open and print the attached “webrelease 504 installation instructions.pdf”.  This is where you will find information about the new upgrade; an FAQ about using the new ICD10 codes and setting up a crosswalk between ICD9and ICD10 codes; download and installation instructions; details about appending chiropractic or podiatric ICD10 codes to your existing diagnostic codes, and a demonstration of our new 64 bit version of the practice management system with an integrated scheduler.           www.dbconsultants.com/aspcwin/webrelease504InstallationInstructions.pdf
2. Identify the location of your AS/PC® program and data (see page 5) on Installation Instructions.
3. Download and install the upgrade (see page 6)  www.dbconsultants.com/aspcwin/AspcWebRelease.zip
4. Install the upgrade on all other workstations.
